Piet in a nutshell

Piet is a sophisticated new brand for men. I designed a parallax scroll and used it to tell the story behind the products and the brand itself.

Context

Piet is a clothing brand characterized for being atemporal, sophisticated, and functional, starting from simple lines and neutral colors.

The project

I worked in the analysis of the future users, the conceptualization of brand, prototyping, and UI design. Then I guided the implementation and development of the e-commerce website.

Research

We looked for references outside the fashion industry (museums, artists, music bands), and inspired by that we put together a mood board to figure out how the brand identity was going to be introduced.

User personas

We defined user personas so we could understand who was going to interact with the website. This helped us define users’ needs regarding the buying experience like delivery and payments.

Wireframing

We wanted to focus the site navigation in the brand’s storytelling. So we seek alternatives that let the users discover the brand’s universe. Finally, the parallax scroll ended up defining the site’s structure.

User Interface

Once defined the site’s structure we did a photo shoot. This allow us to take all the photos we needed for the parallax scroll we imagined in the wireframes stage.

LEARNING: It was interesting to participate from the beginning in this project, which allowed me to get to the photoshoot with the wireframes defined and approved, and select visual content that better fitted our ideas.
